Fine Art Festival Concept
The Fine Art Festival is conceived as a large-scale annual art event to familiarize the general public with the best art achievements where a spectator can discover new names and talents. Nowadays we have a paradoxical situation: most of modern talented young artists are barely known and their works cannot reach a wide range of audiences and connoisseurs. That is why the aim of the organizers of the International Art Festival "Traditions and Contemporaneity" and VERA World Fine Art Festival is a sincere genuine desire to help them to present their works at the international scale along with the masterpieces of well-known artists and recognized maîtres.
The International Art Festival "Traditions and Contemporaneity" and VERA World Fine Art Festival are the events of the international scale which are held since 2007 in Moscow and Lisbon.
Nowadays VERA World Fine Art Festival will be held in Moscow, Russia; Shanghai, China and Lisbon, Portugal.
The Festival, having gained weight in the international cultural life, has already become a traditional comfortable space for the works of young famous Russian and international contemporary artists, collectors, curators, and adds to the establishment of the international contacts and the improvement of the image of Russia in the cultural world.
The festival contributes to the aesthetic and patriotic education of youth, to the spread of the global culture ideology among the general public, and the achievement of the international harmony. The Festival is a vibrant and dynamic cultural project that has a cultural influence on the representatives of scientific, creative and business elite around the world, and its implementation is essential to preserve a cultural heritage, to develop a cultural dialogue between the countries and to strengthen a friendship between the nations.
The Organizers of the festival established an International Fine Art Prize, named "VERA". The winners in 7 categories will receive prizes and awards. This approach allows to maintain a competitive character of the Festival. A special prize in the art area – the bronze statuette "VERA" is awarded at the end of the Festival. A statuette is made by an Honoured Artist of Russia, a sculptor Vladimir Mitroshin.
