X Jubilee International Festival of Fine Arts
"Traditions and Contemporaneity"
Central Exhibition Hall "Manege" from 26 tо 31 May 2016
X Jubilee International Festival of Fine Arts "Traditions and Contemporaneity" was held with great success in the Central Exhibition Hall "Manege" from 26 to 31 May 2016. In 6 days the festival was visited by over 40 thousand viewers and 300 participants from more than 30 countries took part in the project. Countries such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Angola, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, UK, Guadeloupe, Germany, Greece, Israel, Spain, Italy, Canada, China, Cyprus, Lebanon, Macau, Monaco, United Arab Emirates, Portugal, Russia, Romania, San Marino, the United States, Turkey, France, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Japan already traditionally presented the best works of art from around the globe in several categories: painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, arts and crafts, museology.
The festival was held under the auspices of UNESCO and with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the International Foundation "World without Borders", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Mayor of Moscow, Moscow City Department of Culture and the Russian Academy of Arts. On the 26th of May the guess of opening were prominent leaders of politics, economy and culture, including ambassadors and representatives of embassies of more than 25 countries, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Syria, the United States, France, Romania, Bulgaria, Portugal, as well as Tahir Salahov, Zurab Tsereteli, Sergei Mironov, Vladimir Naumov, Nikas Safronov, Natalia Belokhvostikova, Vladimir Vasiliev, Natalia Solzhenitsyn, Stanislav Govorukhin and others. Participants and guests of the Festival were presented with a welcoming speeches by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Garayev Abulfaz Mursal ogly and by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan Polad Bulbul ogly. Also Minister of Education and Culture of San Marino Giuseppe Maria Morganti had addressed his greeting speech to the organizer of the festival.
At the opening ceremony were help performances by the laureates of Russian music competitions, the winner of the vocal competition "Spring Romance" Julia Samoilenko, the Chamber Orchestra "Cantus Firmus" under Khurgin AL and by the producer center "Ecole". During the opening of the festival, right on red carpet, National Artist of Russia, a famous fashion designer Vyacheslav Zaitsev presented the show with his new collection of 2017.
During the festival, were held press conferences, master classes, music and theater performances, among them: Cedric Bokard and twice the winner of the "VERA" award Olga von Franzkevich-Ёransson, Producer Center "Ecole", Nuzha Lydia, creative group "PULSE": Rufina Abasov, Napolova Natalia, Anatoly Orlov, as well as Marina Ignatkina and Edilberto Calderón.
Throughout the festival jury chose the best works in 19 nominations. The international jury this year included the Honorary Director of the Pushkin Museum, member of the Russian Academy of Arts Irina Antonova, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the WPF support of culture and the development of modern art, an honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Mark Leyvikov International UNESCO expert George Petrescu, Head of the Department of Sculpture of the XX century in the Tretyakov Gallery Liudmila Martz, President of the Academy of Arts, National Artist of the USSR Zurab Tsereteli , a Russian art critic, assistant professor of the history of Russian art of the faculty of History of the Moscow State University Sergey Khachaturov. Chairman of the Jury – National Artist of the USSR, Russia and Azerbaijan, the vice-president of the Russian Academy of Arts, laureate of State Prize of the USSR, Russia and Azerbaijan Tair Salakhov.
